Davison Worthing Youth Concert Band is a self-supporting youth band, with 73 members, and is a newly registered charity. The Band is supported by Davison High School for Girls, as a part of their Music department community outreach project. Rehearsals are held at 4.30- 6.00pm every Monday, during term time, in the school hall.
An active parents group raises funds to purchase sheet music, instruments and other musical aids for the children as well as organising events to further their musical and social development. A committee exists to support the needs of the Band and its musical directors. There is a subscription each term of £5 per head or £10 per family, which enables the committee to continue this work.
A Band polo shirt with black skirt or trousers and black shoes are worn at concerts and other public appearances.
